Just yesterday during The Race someone got fawked because they used a throttle cable instead of a linkage. I know it's different functions, but a rod seems more durable. I'm sure you can figure it out......... Matt Browne Overland Engineering kiphartzell 03-15-2006, 11:46 AM I just installed a Underdrive on my D90 a month ago. I went with a RRC hi/low shifter and bent the rod to make the proper connection. This included shortening and cutting new threads on the stock rod so the clevis end would be in the correct position. The Lever works smooth and has plently of movement to engage the underdrive. I have also seen a picture of a DII shifter lever using a rod setup instead of cable.
