I found a DeWalt 4 1/2" Angle Grinder (http://www.dewalt.com/us/products/tool_detail.asp?productID=145) with 12 discs (4 metal grinding, 4 cut off, and 4 masonry) for $39.99 at Costco. The grinder itself retails for $79.99. You gotta love Costco.

Not sure if dewalt has started the trend of putting low pirced crap models out yet-but mine lasted about 2 hours and burned up in my hand-I am on #2 now-but maybe it was just a fluke on one unit?
I bought one from Sam's Club about 7 years ago for $40. It works well...no issues. I wonder if they cheapened them up over the years...

I don't like Dewalt tools, but I purchased an open box new unit, 8 amp 4 1/2" grinder, about 2 years ago for less than half the new price. It has held up to some serious abuse, been dropped, rained on, and lots of dusty environments. It makes a distinct "bearing gone bad" sound, but it continues to function.
But I can't stand the paddle switch. :shaking:

Velcro strap-holds it tight enough to keep it down-but snaps off if you drop it...

Dude, I'm the one who not only posted it first (the night before you), but told YOU about the deal in the first place. I bought one myself anyways. Dirty Bastard. I'm so driving my Jeep through your shop tonight.

I ran to my Costco after seeing this. They didn't have any, just not carrying them right now, not like they were sold out.

Definately a fluke there. I've had mine over a year now and its gotten the crap beat out of it. I've gone through probably 25 different cutting/grinding wheels and use the wire brush constantly
Its worth the money IMO, that is if you aren't using it on an industrial level
