Question: I need to tear down the TJ in its current form, sell the old junk in order to have enough to install the 1 tons. I was thinking if I can sell my old axles, lift kit, tires, rims etc I would be well on my way to getting the 60's under her.

Heres the problem, once I strip it of axles, how can I move it around? It will need to be moved from my place to a buddies shop via flatdeck sometime during the build... I tried searching google for something that I could set the TJ (Tub, Engine, Frame, Tranny, T-Case etc) but am not sure what I could call it??

I have seen the guys on Overhaulin etc using a small rolling table to transport a body but thats pretty light compared to a TJ...

Is anything like this available comercially? Should I build it?? What type of casters would I need to support this weight??

You might be referring to a frame dolly. ?? But, most frame dollies I know of, probably wouldn't be able to hand the weight of a front axleless Jeep. Could you weld up some bracketry to clamp down on your frame and then attach it to a heavy duty floor jack?

Try the following
Kingsbury dolly- Holds jack stands for moving a vehicle around
Uni Dolly- have a stand that bolts to the body with wheels
Accessible Systems- Various dollies and body holders.
I know there are more, but cannot remember names of the companies. You can look at these and decide if the prices are right, or atleast get an idea on how to build.
Did an image search a while back on building a body Rotisserie. It pulled up a few good sites with needed parts and steel list.
Hope these help.

5' x ~4' in an H (with 2 middles) I offset them so I could spin it 180 to help balance the load. This helped alot with the engine setup.. I didnt get home/outside before it got dark.. Look in the bottom left.... -mike
