rig : 1970 fj40 6cyl f engine
1) need to replace my stock distributor, which is the best aftermarket one to buy ? how much do i expect to pay ? etc...etc.
2) stock carb problem, my mixture screw does not adjust properly. it should kill the engine if i close it completely, correct ? but my engine continues to run very rich. i recently rebuilt same, could i have missed something ? any troubleshooting info is appreciated.
thanks as always,
sean

My memory is fading, but if I'm not totally mistaken you can adapt a HEI from a chevy straight six to work in a cruzah 6. Check Woody's IH8mud website, he's got a ton of outstanding Cruzah info there.:skull:

It isn't worth it. Too much $ for nothing. Go the HEI route. Easy, cheap, more power.

not when you only spent 50 bucks on a mallory. :D

agreed, $50 is not bad, but not a MAF price. Was that with cap, rotor, and points or does it have the electronic ignition conversion? I picked up an HEI with all the goods for $50 as well, but will never adjust points again.
