I know that several of the Sagnaw steering boxes will bolt up to the Jeep, but specifically which box should I get, I know a 70's model Camaro with a v6 had the slower ratio box which is better IMO, I also know this box will bolt right up but what about the steering shaft splines? I have a brand new Borgeson steering shaft for a CJ with Power Steering and want to use the same spline count at the box.

Then just look at the input splines when you are out at the yard. I think most 70's chebby cars will work and waggy's.

Okay, just went out back and remembered that I had a new steering box on a race car, Most likely a Camaro box, it has a 25 spline input shaft count with a flat spot in it. What is the spline count on the stock CJ powersteering box? My Jeep is 30 miles away or I would drive over there, and I would also like to carry the new box over there in the morning and finish this job up.

I would expect the jeep to be 30 spline.
