ok so i was out playing and was stuck rather really bad and sorta while attempting to get pulled out ripped my front crossmember out along with the wiring harness...so i was wondering what you all suggest i do to replace teh crossmember thanks

Cut a new X-member off a boneyard XJ/MJ.
Make sure your ft frame rails are still properly aligned (depending how bad the X-member was torn off).
Cut off/straighten out any bent metal.
Trim the new X-member to fit.
Burn it it.


Another option would be to reinforce the ft frame rails w/o using the X-member.

I cut out most of my MJ's X=member, when I went with WNC's ft winch bumper. (you need the room for winch clearance).

The bumper, and side plates are beafy enough to make up for loosing the thin sheetmetal x-member.

Either way, make sure the rails are still straight.

I made a front crossmember to support my front leafs out of 4x4x.250 angle steel. It bolts on in something like 13 places.

yeah i think i can try to build my own member because it is really tore up, and the side rails are really bent up here is some pictures

so i think that i am gonna cut out the bent parts of the side rails and tehn weld in a 3x6x1/4" steel box tube teh full width of the unibody rails and then cap and extend some 1/4" about 10" down the side rails and weld that in and then gusset teh shit outta it and drills holes for the steering box, etc. then make a bumper or sumpin to cover up the crossmember then sell the thing minus my two warn winches for around 3500 so yeah hopefully i can do it all thanks for the ideas
