Hello All:
I have a line on a dana 20 from a jeep P/U that is in good condition and it comes with the factory T-18 adapter plate but no main shaft to put into my ford T-18. What would be a reasonable price to offer for that combination?
Also is the main shaft for that setup easy to come by and what is the value of it?

Your best bet would be to see if you can get the transmission and shaft from the same truck that your transfer case came from. Then swap you Ford input shaft into that trans and you will be good to go. I'm surprised that whoever is selling the transfercase is selling it with the plate. It should stay with the tranny, the tranny isn't much good without it. You could try and find a shaft and install it in your Ford case, but you will also have to fill and drill some holes to use it with the Ford case. Might be better off to get the Novak kit which is designed to use the holes in the Ford case.

Well I'm still looking for the jeep T18 main shaft without much luck. Does anyone have one of these things yet? I sure would have liked to pick up the original trany too but it was sold to some other guy for a replacement for his trashed trany.
