I Have A 76 Cj5 With 4" Sup & 3" Body Lift, I'm Unable To Shift Into 4 Low Becuase The Shifter Hits The Floor Board. So I Cut The Floor Board 1" Forward. Now It Will Shift Into 4 Low. But When I Put The Rubber Boot Back On The Boot Won't Let It Shift Into 4 Low (boots To Small).
Anyone Know A Good Fix?
Help Please.

typically a quick fix is to get an oversized boot.

when i had to do the t-case drop on my 88 yj, my dad made a cover plate out of tin, than i attatched the stock ring & boot to that. I'd say i would get a pic of it for you but its all torn apart

push the neck of the boot all the way down to below the floor board. there is less movement at that point on the shifter.
you could also make a slide plate. loosely sandwhich a plastic piece under a matal base. the plastic and base will have to be over sized enough slide without opening at the front or back of the floor hole.

In my case.... after the Atlas. Mine is an open hole.
someday I'll get around to getting the boots to fit back on.
On the bright side, I can visually inspect the front driveline from the drivers seat.
