looking for beta, advice, info....i'm considering buying a 1984 international harvester bus, with a rebuilt 6.9 diesel engine, converted into a 25' motorhome. the guy claims that it will haul a car with no problem. anyone have any experience or knowledge about these rigs, towing capacity etc?

The 6.9 is SLOW in a pick-up, it will be horrible in a bus with a trailer.

the 6.9 is a good motor but you won't set speed records it is prone to cavitation if not maintained properly. Ask the seller about DCA or coolant additive if he doesn't know what you're talking about then walk away.
Towing capacity will depend on rear overhang of the bus. check with your IH dealer to find out.
