It's all 1.75" HREW bent with a JD2. The latch on the bumper is a 5/8" bolt with a spring behind it and the "handle" is a .5" bolt welded to it. It works great. I still need to rework the tire mount but that's it. It's tied to the frame on the sides with tube and I built the main supports with 2.5" X 3/8" flat stock.

Looks like good work.

The front is a little big for MY liking, but very nice.

Hey, how does the latch work? Is the tube notched where the handle slides? Does it viberate?

ok got a newbie Question but why do you guys make the front bars with the big hoop up high?Is it to stop a forward roll or to use as a ramp up on rocks?

No one uses this set up in aus that i have seen so i was not sure why you guys all do it.

But i think it looks cool anyway:smokin:

The tube is notched for the handle to slide back and forth, and I don't know if it vibrates or not, I havn't road tested it yet.

As for the big hoops, it has nothing to do with ramping up rocks or anything, it was the simplist design I could find that I liked. It's not finished yet. I stll need to add a peice of tube in each hoop that follow the bottom line of the grill and add some diamond plate or something for the turn signals. Here's what it will look like after it's done:

The hoop is meant to protect the radiator in case of a rollover

You could put your turn signals here. Thats were I'm going to mount mine. The stock signals will fit.

The large hoop is multipurpose... It protects the front of the truck in a roll (ie: core support, radiator, fan, winch, etc)... On vertical climbs, it multiplies the force a spotter can apply to the front of the truck with a strap through it's extra leverage...

The hood is still straight :D

I'm also planning on taking tube off the side hoops back to the frame through the grill. It will be easy on the pass side but the drivers is going to be a bitch because the steering box and shaft cover the whole length of the frame on that side.
