I'm putting a full size solid axle in an 87 Ranger and I was wanting to know of anybody had any pictures of the Trac Bar mounts. And I was wanting to know if you had to drop the Trac Bar down off the frame? Thanx.

Check out my website. There's a picture or two of my mount. They are really easy to make. The most important thing is to over engineer it as much as possible, and make sure to run a support to the engine crossmember.
I'm actually getting ready to build another for my bronco. It's going to bolt to the powersteering gear bolts. I prefer not to weld to my frame.
You want your track bar as level as possible to reduce the side to side movement durning the suspension cycle. You also want your drag link to be at a similar angle to reduce bump steer.
are ytou the same dangerranger 33 thats on TRS ?
if so nice to see you here ,but i beleive that name is takin here :flipoff2:
also check out NOBODY's site he has some good pics and advice on the track bar :D

In case you don't know, your track bar needs to keep as parallel to the drag link as possible to prevent nasty bump steer.
Some have cut up the ttb bracket from the drivers side beam and reinforced.

One thing you may want to consider when planning where to mount the track-bar on the axle is if you plan on moving to hydraulic assist steering in the future. Using the stock position Ford 1/2 ton axles have on them will interfere with any hydraulic cylinder you use.
Take a look at my page on http://big78bronco.superford.org to see what I had to do to relocate the mount on the axle side of things.
