Where are your motor mounts, anyone have pictures???
Pulled out the 350 SBC that fit just fine, shoehorned in 454, now it is to close to the firewall, I wont be able to pull valve covers.

On my 66 2WD I canged to 73 Up style mounts. It brought the engine forward about 3". Had to trim the inside of the framerails to make them work. Got the valve covers away from the firewall. Now the only problem is the radiator to waterpump relationship is too close. Can not fit the electric fan the way I wanted, and am running an electric water pump drive. Will get pictures shortly.

Rodzilla, I too am running the 73 up mounts as well, 86 to be exact, but mine is 4x4(and was from factory as well), looking at moving the mounts forward 1½" to 2". What are you doing for cooling???

I have the Short style pump, and I have a Moroso Electric drive on it. Modified a different drive pulley to give it more OD. I have an aluminum 2 core radiator that fits in the stock location. There is only about 3 1/2" between the radiator and the water pump pulley. I am looking for a thinner fan to mount as a puller, and will probably use the one that I currently have as a pusher. Don't know how well it cools, Still in Pieces. It is a short term project that has turned into a long term one. I will get some measurements on the radiator, and get the clearance between the radiator and pump. One thing I have also considered is an electric pump. Either one like CSI or Meisser that mounts like a regurlar pump, or a remote electric pump w/fittings on the block. Will have to see.
