My friend just got his stock blazer monday, an 85 that is now known as Outlaw. Specs are new 350, 700R4, np 208, and 10 bolts with 3.42 gears. It's his first 4x4 so I'm trying to help him as much as possible. We were thinking of swapping in a 14 bolt / 10 bolt combination that I have with 3.73 gears, 2" AAL and 35" mud terrains on 16.5x9.75 rims with 4.5" of backspacing "finnessed" in there. How does that sound? He'll keep some streetable tires to swap on when he isn`t planning on having his fun. Is there anything else I should cover with him? Search is down, so I have been reduced to searching through the rigs sticky with no luck in finding any rigs with 35s and little to no lift. Anybody got any pics of any Blazer / truck that has had this done to it?
For what it's worth, here's some pics of it as it is now. Enjoy, and thanks for any help.

you could put 35s under there but you are gonna have to cut the fenders or else that little hill that the pic is on will send that 35 strait up in the fender and will bend it. Plus you may rub when turning.

I'm running on 35's on a 4" and only get rub if im flexing a lot, I'm not sure about a 2" you'd certainly have to cut just not sure how much, gl?

I run 35's on a 4" lift also and I rub even with minor trimming. fwiw.

You will rub but here's a pic of a longbed with 35's or 36's (forgot) with no lift (and no flex).

i would get at least a 2.5 inch lift and some trimming will work great. The 35's rubbed on the steering box with no lift and i suggest mini tubbing the inner wheel wells in the rear.

I saw that picture on ColoradoK5.com . I know that it can be done. I was also just wanting people's opinions on wether they liked it or not if they did something like this and maybe get some better pics than that one. Thanks.
