Guys

I cannot believe the amount on uncertainty that exists on this site with respect to the WMS to WMS of the front waggie dana 44. I did a search and got all sorts of numbers ranging anywhere from 58" to 63"!

Anyway the majority of values that I have seen ( and have measured myself as well) is 60.5".

I have also seen in some posts that when putting 8 lug hubs on, the WMS to WMS will increase.

So can someone tell me what my WMS to WMS will be, if I put J20 (Chevy ?) 8 lug hubs, caliper mounts etc onto the waggie Dana 44? An exact number would be great thanks.

I don't have the parts yet, otherwise I would just measure it myself.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Rod

6 lug Chevy = 67 "
8 lug Chevy = 69"
so I would say 2" wider

There is no uncertainty with the range that was given to you.
I have a jeep dana 44 front that is 63"wide I also just sold a 60.5"wide jeep dana 44. I do believe that some of the older waggys had narrower d44's as well.

Sounds like the 44 that is 63" came from a Cherokee Chief, they are wide track compared to the Waggy/Cherokee.
