: Commando D44 in TJ

Can it work or is it too narrow???

Probably wishfull thinking, but I can get the Commando for $500

Too narrow. The stock TJ axles are 61in wms to wms(wheel mounting surface) and the flanged 44 in a Jeepster commando is 51in wide so no way man. My dimensions may be an inch or two off but it wont work. Try a wagoneer. and buy the jeepster and wheel it!!!!!!

Thanks, I thought that if it was only a small difference it might work, but 10" is way too much.

It's a good buy just to wheel with, it runs fine and the drivetrain in in good working condition, I think thats what I'll do.
It would be a shame to junk a decent Commando just for the axle anyway, thanks agian.
