On a 1990 Suburban, where would I find the lock up solonoid?
On the firewall, I know, but where?

There isn't one. It's now performed by the ecm. Power comes through the brake switch, and it's grounded by two wires that are signaled from the ecm. you can located their respective pin assignments at www.chevythunder.com

Do you realize your screen name is who I am?

Nah! I'd lose on the IQ part. I don't even know how to spell it.
I've had seven Camaro's though. One of my favorites was a 67 with a straight 6 and a stock 3spd floor shift. I had a 69 302DZ, and the last one was 2000 SS. Another favorite of mine was a black 81 with a 350 auto combo. Turns out here in California it was pretty rare. It was a real smooth car, and ran really well and even was pretty good on gas.
Sorry if i got off topic here!

The solenoid is in the tranny. It is controlled directly from the ECM.

Thanks, Guys! I'm not too worried about staying on topic, The question was answered. I've owned about 26 F-bodies, Oldest was a 68 firebird 400 4speed, the most valuable was an '82 pace car, the weirdest was a '82 4 cyl 4 speed.
The fastest was the one that had the four banger in it when I bought it, blew the four banger within a month, and put a 383 stroker with a five speed in it.
The most beautiful would either be the pace car, or my '78 T/A 455 4 speed, which was the quickest in the 1/4. 12.77@ 109mph.
