CAGE! Who needs a cage?

No, seriously, I have the tubing on the garage floore waiting to go on. (as well as the bender:D) I have to do some other shit first though. I did get it running this past weekend. Ran nice except for the massive vacume leak causing it to cut off... But at about 1500 2500 rpm or so it osunded great!

Its lookin pretty rough right now but it has come a LONG way!

Couplla things... NO the shock on the drivers side is NOT on there. I just stuck it up there and it fell down:D

Yes Im gonna paint the bed and no the fuel cell is not gonna stay there.

Other than that though, Im expecting to get ripped a new one...:flipoff2:

Looks good. I'm going to be chopping the top off of the rolled 4runner I bought today.

What kind of steering setup are you using with the axle moved that far forward?

I think it looks real good! I was wondering what that froame extension would look like.

It's nice to see that I'm not the only webwheeler that really does try to get some shit done to actually go wheelin' someday!

Steering setup is gonna be just high steer with things located much differently than normal. Im using a Scout Saginaw box with forward facing pitman. Should be at my house today or tommorrow. (Got it rebuilt at West Texas Offroad). TRE are 1 ton chevy, custom draglink and tierod. Homemade arms...

As for the Thornbirds, they came with the truck. I also have a set of 38x16.50 OG swampers in the basement with good tread. My brother is gonna sport them a little until I get some superbirfs up front...

I guess that answers your question Skeytone, no danas...

I did have to outboard the springs for the axle forward. All in all that turned out to be kind of a bitch... If I had to do it again I would just cut the shit outta the cab, but thats all done and over with...oh well. It will look better once my winch goes up on that nice flat spot up front...

Thanks for the compliments on the house, not mine. Its the folks. My house is a POS from the 1800's!:D

Fuel cell...I got one from Summit. Mine HAS foam. I think it should help, it dosent slosh much at all. However, I am concerned about the fact that it seems to eb buldging a good bit over time just sitting there. I have maybe 5 gallons of fuel in it right now for test starts and such and the sides are definatly acting like a fat lady after a trip to golden coral.

I dont think it really matters though. I know one thing... People get all worried about puncturing plastic tanks and I PROMISE you mine is A GREAT DEAL more puncture proof than the stock metal one. I proved that with a little experimentation...:D

Ask away if yall have any more questions. I dont mind being the one answering about MY rig for once!
