1988 4Runner V6 Automatic
http://familygeek.googlepages.com/884runnerforsale
This is a solid rig with 210,000mi on the frame and approx 110,000mi on the engine. Overall it is a good daily driver and always gets you where you need to go. Below are the pros and cons of the vehicle…
The Pros:
-Engine runs very strong, heads were done approximately 7,000mi ago
-Brand New Radiator (100mi ago)
-Brand New Toyota Valve Cover Seals (100mi ago)
-New front brake pad and rear drums turned (100mi ago)
-Interior is very clean; body has a few minor dents, paint is fair
-Has Removable Top and it does not leak
-Everything on this truck works!
-Seats 5
-am/fm/cassette
-SR5 Rims
-Full set of instruments
-Passed Smog March 4th
-Just Registered til April 2007
-AC Works
The Cons:
-Leaks a few drops of oil each night (dime size spot)
-Tires need to be replaced soon
-Needs new water pump (makes noise, but does not overheat; have new timing belt for when water pump is changed)
-Transmission will not shift into 4th gear until it is fully warmed up
-Reverse is in bad shape, have to shift into 4low for reverse to work, I have heard that it might be a seal that has become hard while the vehicle was sitting (did not move for several months) and it may soften up over time. For me this is only an issue off-roading. For normal city and freeway driving it is a minor inconvenience. I do suggest replacing the transmission to fix the problem.
I do have a rear bumper for the vehicle that is not shown in the pictures (and front valence and skid plate) that will be put back on.
I am asking $2500 OBO.
Thanks for looking,
Jeremiah
