any one know of a good place to get 10" sanding discs and 6x48" belts? i searched google once before and found lots of results. i am not sure what i searched for then, now i can't find much.
also, is there a preferred brand? i have always used 3m for my roloc discs and have had good luck. i am thinking about a 60grit for the 10" disc and an 80grit for the belt.

MSC direct will have what you need, and there will be so many options your head will spin. Give them a calla nd they can help you pick out the best one for what you want to do. They have helped me a bunch of times.

I was just looking this morning and found MSC (http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRHM) and Enco (http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRHI?PMSECT=203&KNC-DV6174368836). The local welding shop only wants to sell a minimum of 10. I am going to check other local companies tomorrow.
I am planning on using a Norton Zircon 36 grit belt and an 80-120 disc. I've used those belts in an industrial setting and they held up well and removed a lot of metal quickly. I only plan on using the disc for finish type work.
Try searching "6x48 sanding belt". I didn't pay attention to where MSC was but Enco is in Nev.
