I want to upgrade my axles to For 9". My question is, which vehicle is best to pull one from? This will be going into a Jeep TJ. I figured who would know better than the Ford guys.

The strongest housing is in the late 70's and up trucks & bronco's, 31 spline. It would have to be narrowed for your jeep though

Dunno if you wanted TJ size or full width?

If TJ size, 76-77 Early bronco
Fullwidth, anything after late 70s with a 9 in it

....and 28 splined axles and the 5x4.5" wheel bolt pattern. Also, I have heard there is somewhat of a shortage of calipers and rotors (maily rotors) for this axle among the major auto parts chains.

Axles are easily changed.
