Not much, I got out to Twin Buttes right before the wind picked up and it started to rain. The area was in a tornado watch, so the trip was called short. I got there just as everyone else was leaving.
This was the first time this cruiser has been off-road. Finally got my seat in last week and got it in, just need to order another since it fits and fab up some mounts for the 5pts.
Also broke LC Land Spead Record on the way home...I hit 75mph at one point...didn't know FJ-40s could do that:D

thats a real clean 40, nice job

Yeah, I hit that little ditch and it kinda threw me forward...can't wait to get the 5pts installed...also I was playing with the choke a couple times...

BJ42...Yes they are 35x12.50x15 on 8" rims...they are under the body, and the rear TJ flares help alot...when some one calls it a jeep, I just walk back there and point :D

wngrog...yeah but thats soon to change...think I need to go wash it now ...thats why I was going to ask you about the rear rockergaurds, are you replacing them with new ones or keeping those. If your going to sell the old rear 1/4 panels e-mail me...
If I was taking the pics there would be better ones...hopefully will be back out there this weekend and get some better pictures.

Just buy your own 1/8" aluminum at a local metal supply and make your own.

No reason to pay the big $$ for the pre made ones.

You would not want to cut the metal you would have to cut to make my old corners fit...:)

My dad (pic shooter) was still riding shotgun when I went up those slopes. We were going to go to the back side for the real kewl climbs but with the weather like that, it would be to hard to get out quick and without lockers it would be a PITA...

Yeah, those rains that just pop out of no where suck in west texas, the ones that suprise you are the worst...

When I take the cruiser back to WTOR to add some mounts for the 5pts I'll see if he can help bend some steel for the 1/4 pannels...with the bondo their, I dont want a rock to take out my crappy bondo job :D
I'll be back out there in a week or two and take some more pics, and hopefully get some of Tony Palmer's FJ-40 with 44s (one pictured below)

Yeah, thats with the stock 1F...Not sure how many times it will do that though, are how many times I'll be brave enough to do it, you can't add enough bars for that kinda roll. I was waiting for every bolt to come loose with all the vibrations...Hopefully I'll be able to get a v-8 in her in a year or two.
it sure was fun though :D
