So I just ditched my 34-9.5 in favor of some 38-12.5's and now the bump steer is crazy!I didnt mess with the suspinsion or steering at all, got high steer. Is ther any thing to do other then a alighnment? thanks for the info.

your rig musta looked real funny with those 34's if you have room for 38's. if you put in hi-steer arms then you changed something from the way it was, not sure what would cause bump steer in this case, but i would start off with alignment, also remember that bigger tires amplify things.

Are you sure it's bump steer? If you have a hysteer x-over, it's not bump steer. Bump steer is what happens when you have a standard toy steering and the wheels steer right or left do to articulation or bumps. With a x-over steering there is very little bump steer. What you might be seeing (feeling) is the normal wondering of big tires. They like to follow every little groove, seam, or dip in the road.

Sorry if I implied that I just put the high steer on but it has been on for atleast a year. Yeah it did look a little funny with the 34's but I had to cut some sheetmetal to get the 38's to clear. To get back to the point it happens only at slower speeds and once it starts shakin ther is no stoppin it, you should see the look on the oncoming traffic as I hurl down the road like that, any way I had a similar problem after the sas and got a alighnment and it fixed it 95% of the way, I figure my truck will ride a lot worse with 38's and I was just wondering if ther was somthing I should look at other then alighnment .

Hey Casey. Real quick we are running Evans Saturday let us know if you can go. How are your tierods after the last year of wheelin?I would start with an alignment as well. The bigger the tire the more toe-in you require. The only other problem I can think of off hand is if the pinion is pointed too hi and your knuckles arent layed back enough at the top.I cant remember the right term. Did you ever flatbed that thing yet? I will be calling Mark as well. I still have Mopars come-along as well. Sorry I didnt hook with ya when I was working up north but after the first couple days 7:pm to 5:30am shift sucked.
