There is also some useful information and pics of a WMS Doubler dual t-case conversion using a np-203 and an np-205.:usa:

Hey, that's very useful, thank you for posting it. I'm kicking around the thought of putting a doubler setup in my Bronco at some point in the near future. Did you clock your 205 flat? I'm still learning more about this stuff, talked to (John? I think?) at WMS for a while, and got a good start on my doubler education. :)

Yeah, I talked to ORD also, but I like the WMS stuff better. If I do this, I'll get the 203 half converted to the 3.6:1 gearing as well.

Why do you like WMS over OffRoad design... any particular reason?

It wasn't necessarily the product, I think the adapter is very similar at both places. John at WMS was very helpful and walked me through what I'd need to get and do to get this to work for me, and I was real impressed by that. Plus, if I am going to do this I'll do the 203 low range conversion and it doesn't make much sense to get that done at WMS but get the doubler elsewhere.

Just my two cents.

just so i understand this ... in your t-case you will now have.... 1:1, 2:1, 3.6:1 and a MONSTER 7.6:1?

1:1, 2:1, 3.6:1, and 7.2:1, yes. :) That's the idea. 4.56's in the diffs, and a first in the tranny of 2.46 (C-6) will give me a crawl of about 80:1, not counting the slop in the torque converter. Should work really nicely. I don't know how much I'll use the 7.2:1 ratio, but I definitely would like something lower and something higher than I have now (2.69:1) so the new ratios should be about perfect.

Just a thought but with an NP435 you would change ur crawl ratio from 80:1 to 219:1.... that's insanly low...... how much is the gearing for the NP203 running you?

Yeah... but that would require a conversion to manual, with the other stuff involved. I like the automatic, actually.

The 203 rework is a grand.
