i have a front 79 ford fullsize hp dana44 thats all set up with gears and tru loc. Its a driver drop and i was wondering how much the average cost is to retub it so it will be a pas. drop.

or should i just look into buying a pas. drop front axle and swaping everything into it? I have a ford 9" in the back so could i still keep the 5x5.5 bolt pattern and the disc brakes with the swap??

I know a guy that had his Ford HP D44 front retubed so that it was the same width
as stock, but was made into a passenger drop. IIRC it cost about $400.

good luck finding a factory hp 44 passenger side drop to swap your gears into.

i figured it would cost quite a bit. I just picked up a 727 3spd trans for my 4.2L 258 jeep motor. It has a np208 mated to it already. I could just spend $190 and get a 23 spline input shaft for the np231 i have and bolt it behind the trans....but what other options do i have?

haha yea rite. With my luck i'd get the tubes on and one would be pointed forward a bit and the other would be ponting backwards. Than the C's would be off...i'd rather just let someone do it haha. Thanks for the link though
