Use a DSM turbo (14b) and custom a manifold with megasquirt ECM.

I looked for power adders but didn't come up with anything worth mentioning for that motor. After I added the 42's I could have used an extra 20-30hp. I ended up runing around with the front toy case in low all the time. You'll find some people have built one off turbo setups. my buddy has used a small eaton blower/charger on a 1600cc vw motor with great success. they came from mid 90 tbirds supercoupe. they are free standing roots body with sealed bearing so they dont need an oil supply. they hvae an adjustable direction inlet and funky oval outlet.



i belive they are called eaton m80

Superchargers? None that I'm aware of. But you have a couple of options for turbochargers: check out Wildgoody (http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=8880.0) or the guys at turbinetech (http://www.turbinetech.ca/). I've emailed both of them recently and they were quite helpful and could set you up with a turbo 1.6 16v.

I know a couple of years ago that Calmini had superchargers for the 1.3 and 1.6. Might want to check with them.

Calimini = :rainbow:

I believe those were the Camden (http://www.camdensuperchargers.com/) superchargers and they weren't for the 1.6 16v.

i just happen to have a buddy with a camdin supercharger that was made for and was on a 1.6l its sitting on his shelf right now.

:eek: Working on a possible set up with fuel management on a 16v....stay tune for updates, kits may be avaliable for purchase.
Ported heads and big bore piston kits for normal aspirated applications also
