I have a full time reverse cut D44 front axle and want to know if it is possible to convert to hubs, and what parts would I need?

Ya thank's I walked into that one.:flipoff2: If it was that easy, these have the nut on the outer end. I got it for the right price and am not sure just what style it is. (free)

Sounds like you have one from a 75 to79 Dodge.. You will need to change the knuckles out.. their are no conventional spindles that will bolt to your current knuckle

correct me if I'm out to lunch here but dodge never ran a rc frontend did they?
is this a left hand (ds) diff frontend? disk or drum? closed or open knuckle? what bolt pattern?
yes it is possible to convert to part time but it helps to know what you are starting with, can you post pics?

That is a Dodge 1/2 or Ramcharger front axle and is not rc.. You have to change the knuckles out to put hubs on..

yeah looks half ton dodge to me. are you keepimg the 5-5.5 pattern if so 1/2 ton ford from the balljoints out would work

75-79 is 5 on 4.5" pattern. thats why it was free, junk it from the axle housing out. that set-up is really expensive to convert. dont forget to grab axles from the donor as the stub shafts are different.

my honest opinion would be to use it for a boat anchor,,,(rob the gears and carrier first) d44s are easy to find . and its not a RC axle.,,dont feel bad,,,i have abunch of stuff in my backyard thats junk too:smokin:
