yep went down to ice breaker at gore va, hosted by bigdogs.... so there is this new trail (no one had run it yet) called insanity...Skip says, were goin... i say ok lets go see it... we started off with 6 vehicles.... you drop off a 4 foot ledge, then proceed down.... next part is a shear cliff with boulders the entire distance down..... we decided to winch down, 2 rigs decided to back out (cant blame em) as im being wiched down, my front tire falls into a hole, and if not for the winch i would of endo'd. (at least thats what im told) so we all get down... make a right turn and thats where all the carnage started and didnt end till the trail ended.... i cleared the first obsticle (they were one right after another) then almost had the second one cleared when the left front joint let loose and took my inner shaft, (yes i have ctm;s but my warn shaft was 1 inch too short and wouldnt contact my carrier splines  so i used my stock spare) new 760 joint moser shaft and warn stub, back on the trail..... i go a little distance, get some good bady damage :D then as im dropping off a 5 foot boulder, while turning right, my hub explodes into many pieces. new hub on rollin again.... almost at the end... broke the 760 joint, egged the moser shaft, maybe the warn too, and pulled the new ball joints out of my knuckle......... ohh yeah ripped an upper front controll arm mount off too..... lol never hit my driveshafts though :D guess im lucky.... another guy broke several stock 44 stubs (he was running ctm's) and three rear driveshafts.... ended up with no wheel drive, and burnt up an 8274 pulling himself out, along with a superwinch burnt up too.... another broke a hub, inner shaft, and a few outters, he limped out in 3wd.... i limped out after some trickery with a winch cable to keep the wheel on... and then my buddy in his bronco (what used to be) made it out with very little damage... a broken heim joint.

this is one fawked up insane, crazy assed trail, which i will be on again, as soon as my one ton shit is under my rig...

sorry no pics, left the digi at the camp site.... but will scan some when we get the 35mm developed....

for those of you that know bam bam at paragon............. childs play to this trail!

ahh hell ya, this was a serious ass trail, I can't wait for the best of the best!

there is no way anyone would be able to drive down that shear boulder cliff without a cable on their ass.

best of the best will get real interesting when they havto winch there self down or drive it woo that will take some serious balls!!

2.3 ft per minute for 8.5 hours, now that's slow! It's nice to know there's some bad-ass wheelin' right down the road. Too bad it's only open 3 or 4 times a year.:(

Hey BAJG... Actually Luis's (tractor tires) front right axle wasn't the outer shaft. He sheered the ears off the inner shaft. Cleanly at the flange area. So much for High $$ Dynatrac axles. The CTM's are fine, though.
I ended up with 2 bent leaf springs, 2 broken outers, 1 u-joint, and 1 broken inner. Not bad for 8 1/2 hours.
Did you all go out on Sunday?

ya, john (bronco) and i went out sunday on a 7/8 trail, we didn't have a winch so we went on an easy trail.

we almost rolled it on a totally flat dirt road, tried to squeeze through two trees and the right front tire caught the tree and drove right up it, a little sapling the size of my wrist kept us from going over, i could walk under my sides front and rear tires after we got out to take some pictures, I ll get bajg to post them when I get them from john!

bajg didn't make it out on sunday.
