Anyone running a Demon trucker on a 460? I've had nothing but problems with mine ever since I got it. it's been back the Barry twice and it still doesn't run. First it was way to lean right off of idle and now it is running so rich that it's fowling plug and can't keep it running. Any help????

Thanks Ron:confused:

sorry to hear it but.... everyone I know that has a demon hates it. I have seen first hand that they are poorly casted and overall crap! They can be make to work well but they need alot of work. Not a very good out of box carb. Good luck!

I've been trying to get it to work for over a year and yesterday they told me that I should Ebay it and buy a Holley( ya take a brand new $400 carb and loose my butt. :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: ) . All the hours I have in trying to make it work and I even had to pay to ship it back the first time. I've just been :mad3: :mad3: over the whole situation and the way they have handled or haven't handled it, if you know what I meen. Thanks for any input or comments.

I know an 'ole boy who will get that dialed in for you, and "Buck" lives off of 90 and hwy 19 (132). Buck isn't cheap, but he's the best in the business ,Guaranteed to :D :D :D

Yeah i had two King Demons on top of my blower... ran like sh1t. Sent them back and ordered two new Hollys, all i had to do was adjust one air bleed and put it on the dyno and that baby roared to life.

I had a Road Demon on my Bronco. They are VERY sensitive to fuel pressure. Too much and they run way rich (I had that problem). Try a fuel pressure regulator. Might solve some of your problem before going to a new carb. I just said F-it and am going fuel injection.

Only running stock fuel pump, you still think that I need a fuel regulator????? Buzz, can I get Bucks #? I got another guys # in Waunakee that I was going to call but if that doesn't work out maybe I can call him. Stump, How did you send yours back and get your money back? They just insist on me sending the thing back to them time after time.

Thanks again for all the input, Ron:shaking: :shaking: :shaking:

Fuel pressure bud. At least put a gauge on it and if its over 6psi then: try a regulator w/ it at 4 psi if it starves on long duration high rpm go to 6 psi but that is all that carb will handle w/out serious adjustments and float work.

Good luck brotha,

Easy Rick.

Edit check the choke as well. Make sure it is opening.

I ordered mine through Summit Racing and they have a very good return policy. you just have to tell them its the wrong cfm or something and clean it up real good. If you have the original box and packing its a plus. Ship it back for a refund only. Then call back later and order something else.
