79 HP D44 ??'s Will it fit under an EB?

Does a 79 HP Dana 44 have the Cast or welded wedges?? Are the measurments between the wedges the same as an EB? ( can I put a pair of 79 Full width axles under my EB Without Changing the C'S?).. I would like to run the full width axles Just wondering if I have to move the wedges..

Your better off finding an older pre 78 dana44 because the older ones like a 75 dont have the cast wedges. I used one off a 74 worked great plus the knuckles sit higher then the disk ones, just have to convert it to disk which is super simple. But I have heard of some guys running the 78-79 housings with no problems. Search Classicbroncos.com good luck!

Yea I remember your bronco now its the one with smaller tires then mine right? As far as my sister goes we are pretty sure it was immaculate conception. Damn whos HP60 is that????:flipoff2:
