I'm liking what I see and hear so far on the Currie greaseable shackles. I'd like any ideas you have. I looked on Quadratec and they mention a few brands (Black Diamond and Trailmaster) that wont work with Curries. Does anyone know if its b/c the military wrap srpings, or something with those brands in particular. I'm putting BDS springs on and they are military wrap.
Thanks ahead for any insight!

I used currie shackles when I did the lift on my YJ. I used Fabtech springs which are military wrap. The only problem I had was with the boomerang shackles in the rear. The middle bolt that acts as an additional brace would not fit with the springs. I called currie and they said it was ok to run without.

I never had a problem and I had the curries in the rear.... You don't want the middle bolt in the rear anyway.. It will limit you spring movement...The front is good to have because it act’s like a bump stop and doesn’t let the axle move back into your fender.. You need the shot side of the Boom’s on the up side. Take a look at MORE’s web page to see how they set them up.. Works really well.
You can cut the wrap off in the rear... BDS said that was ok to do. I have Revolvers in the rear now and the wrap would not work.... So I cut it off. It helped the springs flex a little better… The wrap really binds the spring.. From what I could see. It does help it from spring wrap but at the cost of flex.

thanks for the help. I got a response from Currie and they just said the bushings were different sizes depending on brand of springs but they have both sizes as needed.
