I just got a new daily driver this weekend and its got the ADD B.S. (93 runner). I remember somebody asking about this before but my search turned up no info on the topic.

I need to know if there is anything else needed to switch from flanges to hubs besides the hubs and all the parts that go with them. I have a couple of boxes of ifs crap layin around so I thought Id switch them out so the halfshafts wont always turn. That way I wont ever have to screw with a halfshaft because the boots busted and becasue I refuse to buy IFS parts for anything. Thanks for any and all info. Sorry for the question bout IFS but I couldnt find any definite answers anywhere else.

The manual hubs are a direct bolt-on swap for the ADD flanges, nothing else is needed. Remove the dust cap, the retaining bolt and washer, then the 6 nuts and cone washers, pull the flange, and bolt the hub on.

Thanks bro. I have pulled ADD flanges off before on a T-100 a few years ago when I was doin a brake and wheel bearing job but didnt remember if anything was different than the manual hubs. Thanks again.

just make sure you pull the manual hubs off an IFS truck. they have a different spline count than the SA trucks...but i'm sure you already knew that.

do you guys put a new gasket on everytime you pull the hubs or just gob some rtv on there?

I just use a light coating of rtv on each mating surface and I have never had any problems. Course I have had my frontend pulled down @ 5 times since july, so it really never has been together for a really long time. Regarding the IFS to SA spline count yes I already knew that they were different but thanx fer da reminder.

Yep, that and keep those "free, low profile trail spares" in with the jack in case you blow one.. Did you know that the solid & IFS hub bodies and dials are the same?? just the inner gear is diffrent...
