This is a question for the people that have narrowed the fronts of their EB's. I am thinking of narrowing my EB and just wondering if anybody has pictures of the way they cut the hood down the side. Are you cutting the steel hood or is everyone going with a glass hood? Any suggestions or pics would help. I know I need to get a star to search, but all the threads I have seen only have pics of the fenders narrowed then with the hood closed, so I am not sure even searching will find the pics I am looking for.

I have seen both fiberglass and steel hoods cut down. Not much to show. Measure a bunch of times, draw your line and cut the steel with a plasma cutter or a sawzall. I've cut fiberglass with a sawzall with decent results as well.

I measured @ 20 times, taped it off then cut it with a cutting disc. I removed
the supports from the underside and bolted it on, its a trail rig.:flipoff2:
My buddy did his the nice way. He cut it a half inch long on each side and the rolled the edges and reattached the supports. His looks good, but he's
afraid to scratch it.:shaking:

i taped off the cut lines & used a jigsaw. then removed the frame from under the hood & replaced it with 1/4" steel rod along the edges & 2 places accross the middle for a lighter support structure. the hood will open & stay up on the hood prop with out flexing around like if it was just sheet metal.:cool2:

I was thinking of doing the same except with 1x1 angle iron. I just did not know what most people were doing. Thanks for the info guys. Now to suck the fenders in and cut the grill and hood.
