I agree to try for 900, and go to a grand... but, it really depends
on how bad you want it to go into your ride..... Will it bolt-in AND
run without having to jury-rig shit to make it work??????

Recently there was an ad in the local paper here (portland) for a complete 4.0 out of an '01 TJ for $1500. 9k mile on it.

bout 6 months ago I paid 1500 for mine, but I was being a dumbass. and I had to pay to have it shipped across country. I think a Grand reasonable. make sure you get EVERYTHING though.

Its a complete motor. It in theory would bolt right in. Its from a wrecker and he isnt gonna be flexible. He usually gets 1400-1500 so this kinda is a buddy hook up. I dont think I can afford it anyways :(

I paid 1200 Canadian ( about 800 US ) for a 13,000 km TJ motor with no manifolds, but with everything else. I swapped that into my '90 XJ.

Now I am thinking of doing it in this '90 MJ.

I paid $1000 for my '97 with 7,800 miles. Complete with everything except PS pump and alternator. I bought the motor and tranny together, so he may have cut me a deal.

I would be agreeable as a buyer to $800-1000. Keep in mind that you can probably get a not-so-bolt in 5.0 Ford for $1000-1200.

What would you rather have? A Jeep 4.0 or a Ford 5.0. I know what my answer would be.

I would rather have my Jeep running in 2 weeks so I can attend my own fawkin bachelor party :flipoff2: I just dont have the dough or the time to swap. :(
