As you look at it, run the main hot from the battery to the left lower post, yes. There should be a cutout for it in the solenoid mounting plate. I spoke with Warn several years ago about the ground, the tech told me to run a ground from the motor case to a good ground with some heavy guage wire. I pulled one of those loonngg bolts from the motor, scraped the paint off and ran a 2 guage wire to the frame.

As for solenoid checking, I dunno.

No, it should spool out under power too - that's where the dead solenoid is. I think power out uses the lower left and upper right, so one of those is bad.

well i replaced all of them so they all should work. their all brand new. so is there a wiring diagram or sumthin i could look at???:rasta:

--- also..it makes the click noise like its trying too...but it just makes the noise no reverse movement.

If it's clicking, it still sounds like a bad solenoid. What did you replace them with? Hopefully not starter solenoids. I tried that (cheap bastard) and it worked OK for a little while but not long. I wound up replacing them with Warn solenoids. Works great now.

EDIT: Oh yea, almost forgot. You only use one side of the solenoid too, I forget whether it's the "I" or the "S". Those are the terminals that the control wires go to.

Hey, DC, the warn solenoids are only about $12 a piece. Just buy those and get some extras for trail spares, that's what I did.
