i'm looking into getting a chevy d44 8 lug. my question is, can i run a 15 diameter wheel? i know most chevy's use a 16" wheel. i am wondering b/c i've already bought my tires and was planning on using them w/ a set of waggy 44's but changed my mind.
thanks-

With 8-lug you can only use steel 15" wheels. Alloys aren't even made in 15" 8-lug. Depending on offset, you still may need to grind a little material off the calipers, but it is a safe and common practice.

I don't think drums in the rear have a clearence problem but rear disks need a 15 in with 2.5" back spacing to avoid cutting and grinding.
