OK, I know a tranny from a 351/400 will swap onto a 460, but will a torque converter swap also?

What about distributors? exaust manifolds? etc, anything else (besides altenator and ps pump)

Thanks

Joe

An automatic tranny will interchange but not a manual.

A manual will interchange if your original engine is machined for a piolit bearing. Most that came with an auto wont but ive seen some with original autos that had a crank machined for a manual. just depends on your engine.

just use a pilot bearing from a 302, works great, I know I've seen me do it. My engine was originaly in a lincoln that was an automatic.

then the pilot shaft will fit perfectly.

ok i see what you mean,

I swapped the np435 into my bronco, w/ a 351 from a lincoln, and the lincolns crank was not machined for a pilot bearing, had to make a special bushing from brass. Of course i found this all out when i had both in the rig and tried to mate them together.
