I have a 1996 Sidekick (complete car) 1600 16v and want to put the engine in a samurai. This has the OBD 2 Smog device. What issues will I have getting it smoged?

I know there is a sensor after the cat, one on the firewall, and the speedo. What else do I need to pay attention to?

Can't do a search? :shaking:

Holy crap, I'm sure it seemed like a good idea to only allow those of us with stars to search. But here we go, thread after thread of "I can't search because I don't have a star, so here's my question that's been asked a million times"

Even if you have a star, this is a better way to search because you can actually see the matching text without clicking on the thread to see if it applies.

OK. Here is how you search without a star:
Go to www.google.com

enter in what you are looking for in the search box. After that, leave a space and add site:pirate4x4.com

examples:
dakota springs site:pirate4x4.com
Dana 60 rod ends site:pirate4x4.com
Hummer rims site:pirate4x4.com
narrowing axle site:pirate4x4.com

noobs

When you do and engine swap.. ALL smog equipment from donor vehicle
must be used. That means obdII must be used. They will hook up to
it to see if it will transfer data... They dont care if your speedo works. But
if you dont hook up the speed sensor to the comp the check engine light
will come on.
