83 toy going into a flat 4 prong for towing trailers.
I have one wire for "left turn", one for "brakes", one for "tail lights" and one for "right turn"
Typical 4 prong setups use "Left turn/brakes" .. "tail" .. and "Right turn/brakes."
Will a 7 pin terminal box like this work in this situation? http://www.luckyb.com//44.htm Is there an easier way?
thanks in advance. :)

You need a trailer light converter box. Try NAPA, they should have them.

Yes on the converter. It combines the factory turn and brake lights to work with a double element bulb.

This is what you need.
I use this setup on my truck for my tail lights, since I run single red lights for stop and tails, no ambers..

He does need a converter, but the double-element bulb has nothing to do with it. One element is for tail (running) lights, the other is for brake and turn.
