Windshield frame's been spoken for a couple times over Mark:( Front Seats, you've got first dibs. I'll pull a pict and post for your review. Upper d-pad, I'll check on. Rear jump seats, I'll check on too. You gonna be @ the swap? If not, I'm headed to LA this weekend w/ time to kill on Saturday. Wify's got a wedding shower to attend. That means I've got the day to myself, may have the little one though, donno. I think we're in Pasadena(?), LA area.

Cracks in the dashpad are ok as long as it is solid and straight. I have slipcovers.;)

Rear seats are ok w/o lower cushions if the lower seat frame is still there. I've got a couple of partial sets that I can cobble something together from.

Thanks.

Dog Walker- yes, original. The door, earlier dbash had a pict of the outside. Nothing bad if I recall. We still need to hook up overthere. Drop me a call, besides, it sounds like Mark has some transportation he needs dome by you;)

Scott- he's keeping the fuel tank. However, wash it out, have it boiled by a radiator shop, the POR the thing after you metal ready it. It'll be perfect. PM me if you need a hook up on the POR-15 product.

65swb45- they're yours. Sounds like you'll have to butter up Dog:eek:

More info on the motor. Know the compression? Leaks, mileage, history, etc. Will it go in a 1980 fj40? I know some things changed in other areas, not too sure about motors, though. I've been thinking about restoring the '80 and bastardizing another 40 instead. Thanks,
Jesse

I'll have the compression numbers pulled for you. I'll look into everything else you brought up too. Hopefully someone w/ a little more knowledge:confused: can chime in on the 80's factor. Although, from what I do know the motor internals changed some but the basic size-mounts did not. Hope that helps some.

Thanks, I'll keep checking in. I'm going to bed for the day, but I'll check when I wake up. (I work nights). Anyway, my 40 was born in February of 1980. I hope it all works out. I think it was one of those mid-year production changes, kinda like the 1974 fj40's. I can't remember exactly, though. I think there were some suspensions changes somewhere around july or august? Maybe that's when the other changes occurred? I'd like to know if the carbs are interchangable, because I think this one has a newer rebuilt carb and I know the exhaust is new. Anyway, thanks and I'll be back.

Rear axle is still available.
Brake Booster/Master cylinder
Lights and lenses
Emblems(spl?)
Front heater assembly
Springs
Stock roll hoop w/ stock pads(great condition)
Tons of other stuff I'm sure. Just ask and I'll find out.
Once again, the rig is torn down to body and frame only.Everything else is going. The only items remaining on the rig are pedals and clutch master cylinder. Pics to follow.
