This is a 78 d44 under an 88 bronco. I took it out for the first time this weekend and it worked AWESOME. The pic below is at full stuff.
Two issues, however:
1) I need to trim down my trackbar mount because it hits the lower coil bucket (this can be seen in the pic).
2) My coil bows like crazy, I'm using the stock '78 coil buckets up top. I also have 7* coil shims on the lower coil mount.

well, the coil is supposed to mounted vertical, not horizontal retard :flipoff2:

some people like the u-bolts thru the back of the bucket and around the coil. seems to help a bunch. i think jopes has it setup like that, maybe one of the east coast guys from pa, drexel steve or brnstnk. there is a great thread on fsb about it, not that it will help you any :D

Here is my compressed 6in Superflex coil -

I put on an extra u-bolt like was mentioned above. Other than that just make sure the lower spring bucket is level and make sure the spring sits in the bucket correctly.

I am getting ready to put the SAS under my 90 soon and have seen this on a lot of them lately. I noticed the center of the top of the coils is 2" wider than on the axle. I will be using the TTB coils so it's a little different but will make brackets to move the center of the coil out 1" on each side of the axle.

What about using some 1/4" plate welded to the bottom of your lower coil mount to kick it out 1" on each side?

This is what I will make for the TTB coils.

Looks like too much angle in the shim. The spring is pushed back. I used a 4* wedge...........

Looks like the top mount is loose to because its trying to run away.
Also check your trac bar, it could be off and pushing the axle off center.
Under compression a trac bar front does bow the coil, but yours is bowing to much.
