Now I just have to finish wiring the ARB compressor, finish the OBA, get hoses for the hydro assist ram, hook that up, build the trackbar, clock the D300, re-route the exhaust, bolt up the header, wire in the gauges and I'm done! All the parts are bought finally too :)

That CJ looks sweet. I also like your "test ramp". Was this done in an apartment parking lot? I usually get the neighborhood SS on my ass for working on my junk in my own back yard! (yes we are renting a house) One weekend I really pissed them off when I swapped out motors in My 91 subaru loyale AWD, in front of the house. Wonder what they'll think when I drop in full-width axles under my XJ.:flipoff2:

The front is a GM D60, 35spline inner/outers w/ warn hubs & flanges, ARB etc etc
Rear is 14bolt w/ detroit, 35spline moser alloys, disk brakes etc
5.13 ratio, hydraulic assist steering, rock guards, inner-outer axle seals, tubes grease filled w/ fittings, lower diff drain plugs etc.

We did the shop in my buddy Mark's shop, but I work on my jeep all the time. Supervisor lady gets pissed, but whatever. I'm doing an engine swap in my MR2 at the apartment :D

Nice axle combo :D did you shave the 14 or is the picture above just an illusion?

Are those axles NOT shaved? A buddy of mine, on his '76 '7, has that axle combo, (+400/400/d300) front mounted via radius arms, rear via leafpack. His axles poke out farther, his 37" SSRs are totally outboard of his fenders. Maybe the choice of offset rims may for the both of you create the illusion of the axles appearing, or not appearing, to be fullwidth.

Still is a sweeet rig.:D

The 14bolt is smoothed to beat hell, but not shaved. It's got decent clearance. The D60 front is barely smoothed, I need to spend some more time with the angle grinder...

the 4" backspacing helped a lot with width, but I spend prolly 4hrs grinding calipers...

Tires are pretty damn close to outside the fenders. 42's are going on, so it will be 1.25" wider each side, and fill up the fenderwells better. Out comes the body saw!!

What springs are you using, and are the wheels 15s? Did you outboard the front springs (I can't tell from the pic)?

This is almost exactly my plan. I'll be using 8lug 16.5s though to keep costs down and strength up.

Rears are stock Waggy fronts, fronts are a hybrid of more than I want to think about...

Wheels are 15x8 4" backspacing. I ground the calipers, took a while but I can run my tires...
