Speedo Gear

I did the search, All that came up was a cj7 with a vortec. I bought a cj7 that was lifted and has 36" tires on it. Most of the work was done, some of it needs to be finished. I need to get a new speedometer but before I decide to put a stock one on there or put in an electronic one I need to see if I can find out if there is a speedometer gear for my cj7 with a 4 speed to run 36" tires

d300 or d20?

as i understand it, the speedo gears for the d20 are no longer being made...

check with these guys about a used one:

or ask the stealership if you've got the d300. don't let them do anything to your cj and be sure to check the new one against the old one to make sure it fits BEFORE you pay and leave.

Thanks, I think I have the d300. That is what the guy told me. Is there a way to tell the difference if there is no marking on the transfer case?

Thanks. I'm gonna try that. I crawled under the jeep last night, couldn't find the gear info or any tags. I'll try again tonight.
