I figure that I bitch about shit enoguh I might want to compliment someone!

I bought a saginaw steering box from a guy on the internet. Wnated to have it rebuilt. So, I emailed around about rebuilding them. Got email back from West Texas. Said they would do it for 100 bucks, send it on over.

I wanted to save money so I got sender to send straight to West Texas. I was worried about confusion of order from whoever coming for me. I recieved a call when they got it and a call before it was shipped out.

GREAT service. Cant beat it with a stick. Havent run box yet but Im sure it will be primo!

I'll second that opinion...Matt Hodges and his boys up there are a quality operation...any work you need done they'll do it, and right too.

How long did it take to get rebuilt and shipped back. Did any of you have the hydro assist added. Looking to get a package deal from them. Thanks

I sent my 4WD box to him. He put in a 2WD steering shaft, rebuilt it, and tapped it for hydro. Total time was roughly 1.5 weeks (most of that in shipping, I think he only had it about 2-3 days while he was trying to get ready for EJS!). Everything worked out great, couldn't ask for better. He even includes tap caps so you can run without the hydro assist. I didn't have time to mount the ram before our Ajax run so I just went with the capped box. If I ever blow a line or seal on the ram, I can just cap and go again.

He built me a box from scratch for Hydro assist. works perfectly. Love it!!!

I did not have hydro assist added. I think I can handle that myself when the time comes.

He had my box for Id say 3 days, if that. I think it got there on a friday and he shipped it out the following tuesday or wed. that was the weekend he went to Moad too...

Plus you cant beat the 100 dolalr price tag on my rebuild! I couldnt even get a rebuild kit for less than 60, so 40 bucks to educate myself on properly rebuilding a steering box.... ahhhhhhhhhhh NO!

hell yeahhh, he has kick ass service, great products......... ill do all my business possible through him....! how could expect less from a fellow redneck! :D redneck ram........... yeaaaahhhhhhh!

I got the hydro assist from Matt and the service was awesome, in fact I got to wheel with Matt over EJS while testing it out for the first time, man what a differance when you can steer!!!

I have nothing but praise for Matt too. My hydro assist works great and he only had the box for 2 days. And yes, being called a redneck is a compliment to a southerner

I had the full hydro assist setup done.

Before I met Matt with West Texas Offroad I could not steer for shit, now that I have his hydro assist my truck will turn in any position. Remember that commercial add Matt :smokin: Honestly my Hydro from Matt has worked flawlessley and goes right at the top of the list of best upgrades. I also wheeled with him for EJS and must say he is a true southern gentleman. Anybody who deals with him will be pleased.

I try to take care of my customers. In my opinion a happy customer is much more effective than any advertising that you can do.

I'll second that, Matt is a great guy with great service, products, and customer service. Hell he even took $50 off a box rebuild since the box wasn't in that bad of shape to begin with. Also modified my pump for free since I was letting him modify the box for hydro-assist. When install time came around, he answered all my question and even talked with me about my future (off the subject) engine/tranny plans for a while. Great guy. Even stayed in contact with me to make sure the steering was working out.

matt is a great guy. never too busy to take time to answer questions or just bs.

Matt has always been very helpfull when I talked to him on the phone. I will be sending my 4 Runner box to him.....for the "Hydro Conversion"......
