A buddy of mine up at school has a 97 Disco and wants to cram the biggest tires possbile. What will fit without bashing/trimming fenders? What will fit after mild modifications? Thanks, I don't know a thing about Disco's but told him I'd find out from the experts.

245/75/r16s fit pretty good without much trimming, but theyre not all that big (around 31")

edit: this is with a 3" lift, is your friends stock?

You can easily fit 39.5's stock. Go for it!! Rover even built the trucks with lower gears already for upgrading the tires. Just move the lever next tot he gearshift.

For the experts on what will fit on a stock Disco you need to go to dweb.
Doubt anyone here even cares :flipoff2:

Guess I'm used to the Toyota forum :D I'm all for a little sazall action, knowing my bud he wouldn't want to cut up his pretty little rover. On another note, rovers run 16" rims, will 15's clear the calipers? If I had my way I'd get him to sell the Rover and build a Taco, 4runner or an old school mini, but to each his own, we'll see what I can get him to do. Maybe I'll ask to borrow it and bring it back with the fenders hacked away. :D

Have you read the "check-in" thread? Have you searched the forum? Have you looked at DiscoWeb?

Until all of those questions are answered "yes," you'd best hope that Pendy doesn't come around here.

Go to DWeb, search for "backspacing," and read the four threads started today that are titled "What is the Biggest Tire I Can Put on My ______ Disco," where _____ is a year between 1994 and 2005.

Why, do the toy folks put up with silly questions?
:D

Why didn't I read the faq? Because I really don't care about disco's and didn't want to put forth much effort :flipoff2: You're right though, I should have read the faq. And no, the toyota forum doesn't put up with stupid questions, and I don't ask them either. :D I mentioned the toyota forum becuase of the comment on having to go somewhere else for the "experts". The toyota forum here on pbb does have just about every toyota expert around. I'll check DWeb, thanks guys.
