40 rear axle set up for SO with Disk brakes and a lockright?

I am thinking of going to a 9"

Whatcha think is a fair price for it?

The front axle becomes another problem. I have a lot of money tied into it. Although creating a d 44/9" hybrid would be easy.

My head hurts...

Are you going to 5 lug in the process? If so.....I'll take those TR's ;)

What about width? You gonna cut down the 9 inch?

Jason

I had a rear FJ40 axle with ARB and disks that I sold for $ 800 to someone last year.

For the rear I would do a hybrid cruiser front and either Dana 44 ends with CTM's ( ALL Pro is doing this and Grady in Rancho can also do this )

Yeah, right... :flipoff2:

I am probably going to cut it down slightly. Not too much. and I am going to stay six lug. That was one of the reasons to go 9":D

The 44 parts are way to cheap around here. I was thinking of either a hybrid cruiser front or a hybrid 9" so that the centersections are swappable. Besides, 9" parts are super cheap around here too...
but 44 ends with ctm joints would be very nice I think...

Lets see waggy axles are 44 front with a six lug pattern right???

Yes older waggy axles are passenger side six lug. The hybrid 9 inch would be fawkin sweet!! Still have the swappable thirds front and rear. Oh yeah. I know what you mean, 44's, 9 inches, and 12 bolts are plentiful up here. I can score just about any 1 of them for next to nothing...sometimes nothing. So once you find out what you want, let me know and I will look around for you. :D

Okay, 44 axles only come in 30 spline right? I'm gonna have to go look up some schnizit...

Other than that Glo, I can get a 9" complete axle here for like $110 or so. What can you get one up there for?

And, what can you get a waggy front for? Width???

I wonder what the difference in clearance between a 44 and a 9" is...
