Since the search is unavailable to me...... Does anyone have any experience with the International tool boxes being sold on ebay? How do they compare with Home Depot or Craftsman? Not looking to spend the $$ for Snap-On etc. for home use.

how about a costco box?????? iirc they are 6-700 range and imho just as good as a craftsman box if not a little better and a fair bit cheaper.

Unfortunately, the nearest Costco is several hours away.

International has 2 lines, Import, and standard. The import costs about half as much. The Standard one (3pc combo for liek 1400) is made in Canada. They also make the boxes for sears canada.

Thetoolwarehouse.net carries these boxes, and a canadian guy I know says they are better than the sears ball bearing boxes sold here, however I cant say for myself. They say they use a better "griplatch" system than the boxes sold here.
