ok guys im tossing different ideas around since i havent dumped any money yet, might as well keep the options open.

I have been toying with the 14 bolt idea for the back of my lil ol jeepy. im runnin 38's at the moment I just bought the tires around late december so going bigger is a no no.

the only draw back i have with the 14 is the fact that your gonna drag your big nutts over every rock. I have looked at everyones shaved diff's and i like the idea. I do not have the ability nor the confidence to attempt anything like that. and theres no one around here that i think i would trust to do it.

is there anyone on the east coast that i could take it to, and how much would doing something like this cost me? heck depending on how heavy it is empty i could ship the housing somewhere.

just looking for ideas fella's. thanks

My buddy put a 14b in his Rodeo(don't laugh, its big) and he trimmed about 1" off the bottom. I'll try to link some pics if i can find them.

come on DP, spin the input shaft, count how many turns to turn an axle once.

just make sure only one side spins when you are counting.

Actually, most Dually 14 bolts came with 4.56's...full width ones usually have 3.73's or 4.10's.

You'll have to pull the cover to find out...which is good anyways cuz you want to make sure that it is an open carrier not a gov-loc.

Which 14b are you going with c&c or full width. There is a writeup on the Colorado K5 site which you should be able to do yourself, doesn't require any welding.
