I know there are lots of posts on ram assist but i could not find any info on leakage. Mine leaks at the fitting that was tapped into the top cap. Is it cause it is steel going to aluminum or do i need to cob it up with teflon tape? I had a hydro fitting welded to the front cap, would this be a better solution?

I used NPT on both my box end cap, and adjuster plate. I only had leakage on the top one. I simply ground the plate just a bit, to make it all perpendicular to the tapped hole. I *think* it was getting tight before it sealed, due to the angle at the hole. Havent had any problems since. :cool:

sounds like you need to tape it, if not, weld it
