Got a leaky new engine. My asumption is that it is leaking from the front seal. It sprays oil all over the engine compartment and i can't stand it anymore. I suspect the front seal because it only leaks under load. If i give it wood then it spits everywhere, if i cruze at low rpm's then it seams to do fine. Breather is new and not clogged but i did put a pcv in the other valve cover just to fill the hole. Will replace with an oil cap. Any causes or solutions besides changing seal?

You could check the harmonic surface, where it slides into the front seal, for grooves or pits.
Most likey the seal was damaged when installed. If that is where its coming from.
Good luck.

I would check the balancer seal. If the balancer has a groove in it. You can install a speedy sleeve. Or replace the balancer.

There is a bolt hole on the front of the block near the fuel pump that needs to be blocked. Check it.

You make it sound like a PCV valve is bad. It's not! Hook it up to an un-ported vacuum source. This will definately help your engine live longer.

If you have a groove in the harmonic you can try an old trick my dad would use and it worked great.
Quite simple actually, don't drive the front crank seal in all the way. Leave it about 1/8 inch from bottoming in the TC cover.

Got my attention. Where is this hole located? Iran a block off plate because i have Pro-jection. Is it a bolt hole or a plug type hole?

damm thanks I forgot to do that on mine!! don't use too long a bolt like an inch maybe.
the hole is on the front of the block right in front of the fuel pump mounting boss, there are two there if memory serves but only one goes thru the other is a blind hole.

Ok i know the one you mean. There are two but since i don't use a mechanical fuel pump i can run a long bolt in there. There is no rod for the bolt to hit. And no i didn't put a bolt in the hole like i should have. I'll bet that's the problem. Thanks.
