If anyone is going up to bassi this weekend we could use some help for a few hours cleaning up that shitty ass trailer that is parked by the side of the trail. We were hoping to get some chainsaws up there to cut it up. Problem is we don't have anycargo space. so if we cut it up and leave it there do you think we could spread the word to cart as much back with you as possible. I think we can burn most of it. Anyone with a burn permit? Anyways just trying to do something usefull i guess.

Another newbie question. Where is Bassi?

Bassi is in a top secret location that only the hardest of core wheelers get to know about. When you are initiated they make you drive through it blind folded with rabid squirels in the cab. Then if you make it through they cut off the tip of your pinky.

Actually its located up in Ice House near Lake Tahoe.

Go ahead and chop it up, I'll take some out next time I'm there. It's just a cab over camper, not a whole trailer. Somebody dumped a mattress by the entrance too. But like SeaBass said it's probably too late to help.

What ever ya do, Dont burn it! Any lumber,plastic or lumber is a huge fine. i think is is about $500.00 bucks. I'm a fire captain and seen it happen!

WEll, we will still chop up that ugly sucker. THanks for the fire warning. I wasn't sure if was ok with a permit or what. I think if we can get the trailer into small enough peices and put a sign up asking poeple to grab a piece it might get out of there this weekend. I just hope we can get my chainsaw to work. IF anyone else has one feel free to start chopping if we aren't there yet. AS far as bassi closing, I was informed that it wasn't supposed to close until fall. BUt this was just a casual tossing of info on the net. So I will be prepared for anything. (a little road block never stopped ......)

Ill be up this weekend, and i will try and grab a piece or 2 and drag it out! We will have a couple rigs up there so we may be able to bring back a pretty good chunck.....I also heard that bassie will close in the fall...just for part of a year though..to put in the new campsite.

yah, i looked for ya, i was up there last saturday, white zuki and the yellow yota. this hella cool 82 year old man in a TJ followed with us from the resort all the way back to the sky lake exit or whatever the fawk its called.
